Plasma curtain
A continuous plasma curtain across a full width, to treat panels, sheets or webs as they pass. For when the surface exceeds what a nozzle can sweep within the cycle time.

Panels and webs · 60 to 500 mm working width · 1–6 kW · Treatment in passing
When this equipment is the right one
A nozzle sweeps; a curtain covers. As soon as the width to treat exceeds a few centimetres and the throughput rules out several passes, sweeping becomes the limiting factor on cycle time. The curtain treats the full width at once, in passing.
A composite panel before bonding
The entire surface must be activated uniformly before laminating. Sweeping would leave overlaps and over-treated areas.
A web in continuous運 motion
The treatment has to keep up with line speed without becoming the bottleneck. The curtain is sized on the width, not the length.
Sheets at high throughput
Several hundred parts per hour, each having to receive the same treatment. Reproducibility comes from the absence of any sweeping motion.
How it works
The source produces a discharge spread across the full width of the treatment head. The part or web passes beneath this curtain: every point on the surface receives the same exposure, with no overlap and no missed area.
The width is chosen on the real working width of your parts, from seven values between 60 and 500 mm. That choice then determines the power needed, and therefore the type of generator — single-phase or three-phase.

Choosing the right variant
-
Seven treatment widths
From 60 to 500 mm, chosen on the working width of your parts. An oversized width costs power and gas without adding anything.
-
Single-phase or three-phase generator
The generator type follows from the width retained and the power it imposes. Worth checking early: it drives your electrical connection.
-
Screen version or OEM version
Standalone control via an integrated touchscreen, or an OEM version to integrate into your own machine interface.
What to plan for on your side
Equipment that does not talk to your PLC stays an isolated station. Before any order, we validate with you the real constraints of your line : protocol, footprint, available utilities and extraction.
These values are indicative and are confirmed at the process study stage, on the configuration actually retained.

Before you write to us
How do I know whether this equipment suits my part ?
By sending it to us. We treat your samples in our Quebec City laboratory and you receive a costed answer within 48 hours : surface energy before and after, the parameters retained, and our frank opinion if plasma is not the right answer to your problem.
Can it be rented before buying ?
Yes. Rental serves to validate a production hypothesis on your site, with your parts and your operators, before committing to an investment. Terms : [x].
What documents do you provide for a customer audit ?
The corresponding process file : the plasma parameters retained, characterisation methods, validation results on your parts and operating procedures. For regulated markets, the level of documentation is adapted to your sector's requirements.
And if no configuration fits ?
Our engineers then design the reactor to specification : dimensions, gases, controllers, interface, sized on your material and your throughput. See the custom reactors →
The neighbouring equipment
Surface plasma source
A discharge spread across the whole electrode surface, treating flat parts and flexible films uniformly. No sweeping, so no overlap and no over-treated area.
See the page →Compact plasma torch
A nozzle that blows plasma straight onto the area to be treated, a few millimetres from the part. The most common way to activate a precise area without touching the rest.
